To celebrate the launch of Mohini, we partnered with Fflow to host an intimate evening with more than 20 incredible women.
The name Mohini means “the enchantress” - a temptress who captivates, fascinates and draws people towards her. But the Mohini woman does not demand attention. She naturally commands it. She is elusive, magnetic and impossible to fully decipher. You may see her, but that does not mean you know her. She reveals only what she chooses, leaving the rest to your imagination.
The collection lives entirely in black, expressed through sheer lace, intricate embellishment, sculpted silhouettes and flashes of skin. Every detail plays with the tension between concealment and exposure - between what Mohini allows you to see and what she keeps entirely for herself. She is sensual, but never obvious. Sexy, but never seeking permission or validation. Her allure lies in the fact that she cannot be completely understood. We wanted the launch to embody that same energy.
Dressed in black, more than 20 women from different backgrounds, industries and walks of life came together for a night of conversation, connection and celebration. It was intimate, glamorous and full of depth. Around the room, conversations moved effortlessly between art, culture, politics and psychology. We spoke about ambition, inspiration, star signs, our individual stories and the ways women transform pain into power. We even found ourselves deeply analysing the art of music videos. There was substance, honesty and so much laughter. One guest said, “This is what I want my girl chats to be about,” and that perfectly captured the evening. Women could arrive as themselves, speak openly and connect beyond surface-level introductions. That contrast felt distinctly Mohini: a room filled with elusive women, each carrying stories and dimensions that cannot be understood at first glance, choosing how much of themselves they wanted to reveal.
Khanum’s has always existed to celebrate every expression of womanhood. Mohini represents the woman who understands the power of mystery. She does not explain herself to make other people comfortable. She does not need to be completely accessible to be captivating. Her presence speaks before she ever does.
