What I'd Wear On Holiday: Founder Edition

What I'd Wear On Holiday: Founder Edition

When it comes to holiday dressing, I genuinely become a different person. At home, my wardrobe is a little more considered. But the moment I land somewhere warm, all bets are off. Bring on the colour, the statement jewellery and the outfits that make you feel like the main character.

I'm naturally drawn to bright colours on holiday. Turquoise seas, colourful streets, sunsets... it just feels like the perfect excuse to wear pieces that are bold, audacious and unique. It's one of the few times of year where I really let myself experiment with fashion. Holiday is about exploring new places, so why not explore a different version of your style too?

Accessories are everything for me. I love oversized gold or silver jewellery, stacked bangles, chunky earrings and
statement sunglasses. The more maximalist, the better. They instantly transform even the simplest outfit.

One thing I refuse to do on holiday is overthink getting dressed. I don't want to spend half an hour trying to match separates or wondering which cover-up works with which bikini. I want pieces that do the work for me. That's why I love wearing Khanum's. Whether it's one of our dresses for a date night or our Komola Cover-Up for a beach club afternoon, I know I'll feel put together without having to think about it. Throw it on, add jewellery, a great pair of shoes and you're ready.

I'm also someone who loves clothes that make me feel good. Fabrics that sculpt, support and flatter. Pieces that hold you in a little, lift you where you want lifting and make you walk with confidence. You shouldn't have to choose between feeling comfortable and feeling incredible.

When it comes to shoes, I'm a designer heels and bags girl through and through. Holidays are my excuse to wear those beautiful pieces sitting in the wardrobe waiting for their moment. Whether it's a dinner overlooking the sea or cocktails at sunset, I love finishing a look with a statement shoe and bag. And if there's one thing I avoid, it's looking like everyone else. Hence why I shop small brands, vintage and boutique mostly.

I love trends, but I don't want to disappear into them. Holidays are the perfect opportunity to wear something memorable, something that feels like you. I'd rather wear the dress that gets people asking where it's from than the one everyone else packed. I love the idea of people stopping and asking “where is your dress from?” BIG WIN.

For me, holiday style should feel effortless, confident and a little bit extra. Wear the colour. Wear the jewellery. Pack the heels. Make the reservation. Life's too short not to look and feel fabulous everyday?!
